BARCELONA DEFENDER SAMUEL UMTITI REJECTED A MOVE TO LIVERPOOL IN JANUARY - ACCORDING TO THE ATHLETIC

​​Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti rejected a move to Liverpool in January - according to The Athletic.

The Reds were eager to bring the Frenchman to Anfield, but he opted to remain at Camp Nou and fight for a place in Ronald Koeman's team.

Umtiti has only featured in five La Liga games for Barca so far in 2020-21, but his current 

contract does not expire until 2023.
